Every race starts in the Bacino di San Marco, runs the length of the Grand Canal to the turning post at San Marcuola, then comes back down to the finish at Ca' Foscari. Riva del Vin is on the return leg, just before the line. Ogni regata parte dal Bacino di San Marco, risale il Canal Grande fino al paleto a San Marcuola, e ritorna verso il traguardo di Ca' Foscari. Riva del Vin è sul ritorno, poco prima della linea.

On foot. The Grand Canal closes to traffic for the afternoon and the vaporetti along it are suspended or diverted, so plan to walk. We are two minutes from the Rialto Bridge on the San Polo side. Come early — the calli around Rialto are slow going by mid-afternoon.A piedi.
