A romantic dinner in Venice needs only a few things, but the right ones: water close by, soft light, service that never rushes you. At Terrazza Sommariva the terrace sits directly on the Grand Canal, on Riva del Vin, with Rialto Bridge a few steps away. Here is how to plan the evening.
The table. When booking you can choose canal-view terrace, indoor room or no preference. For a special occasion, ask for the canal-view terrace and mention it in your message — anniversary, proposal, birthday. We'll do our best according to that evening's availability.
The timing. Sunset time changes a lot through the year: check that day's time and book a little earlier, so you can watch the light change on the water. After sunset the terrace lanterns come on and Venice grows quieter — a later dinner has its own charm, and the kitchen serves until 23:30.
What to share. The Plateau Royal of raw seafood and shellfish is made for two or more; tagliatelle with lobster and lobster alla catalana are celebration dishes. Meat lovers can share a Florentine or a Tomahawk (€13.00 per 100 g). To finish, a house dessert and a glass from the wine list.
Booking. Message WhatsApp at +39 041 523 1164 or book online with date, time, party size, seating preference and any occasion. At weekends and in high season it is worth planning ahead.
